

This rc plane series was designed in : Onshape & Rhino 3d
I used:
"Airfoil Tools" to develop
aerofol sections and wing
profiles
"Ecal" to calculate the
propeller geometry
The electronics included 6 servos
and a nose mounted electric
motor driving the two blade propeller.

Laser cut "micro-ply" frames
and bass wood stringers
Skinned in heat shrunk plastic
I wrapped a plywood skin to the body of the plane to stiffen the center of the plane as it was prone to torsion






Nose, Tail & Landing gear assemblies replaced with 3d printed PLA components




Entire plane re-modeled and printed in 35 3d printed PLA parts, Landing gear upgraded with carbon fiber tubes



Entire plane re-modeled to be printed using light weight PLA parts (internal reinforcement added)
